Prioritize Your Health
Finding an affordable way to manage food and health can seem impossible. Over the past few years our family has found ourselves on quite the journey when it comes to trying to prioritize health and wellness. Soon it was clear that we would go massively over budget if we didn’t learn to prioritize and simplify how to control our health.
Affordable Food & Health: What you Eat
After a lot of research into several health issues our family has faced, one thing has become clear to me–the phrase “you are what you eat” is 100% correct. The foods we put into our bodies can completely ruin your health, even if you are doing everything else “right”. Also though, foods have the amazing ability to heal and strengthen you! As a self-proclaimed picky eater, I’m not one to just eat something because it’s good and I want to prioritize my health. I have to make sure that it tastes good, too. And, it has to fit into the budget.

Actually, the best way is just to slowly learn and replace things as you go, making the best decisions for your family that you can with the budget that you have. Here are a few of my favorite swaps, healthy recipes, and resources to help you on your journey.
Affordable Food & Health: Exercise
I am not athletic. And I’ve failed the 1,000 Hours Outside challenge already. But I’m always determined to find ways to get our family moving (partially because I know it’s good for us and because my two little are always on the go). Here are the ways that we prioritize health by keeping active…and most of it is free!
